American moviegoers see pro-choice bias in Hollywood

A new poll shows that most American moviegoers sense a pro-abortion-rights bias in Hollywood films.

A new poll has revealed that most American moviegoers view a pro-abortion-rights bias (pro-choice) in Hollywood films.

The US cinemagoers see more pro-choice messages in films than they do pro-life messages, according to a recent US-based poll released to the public.

The scientific poll indicates that when abortion is presented onscreen, 29 percent of Americans think Hollywood is favoring the pro-choice position, while 25 percent say it is taking side with the pro-life viewpoint.

Only 14 percent of those polled view no agenda is pushed, while 18 percent fail to recall seeing a movie in which the topic was discussed.

Moreover, the poll shows that the older the audience, the more likely they are to see pro-choice messages.

Popular Hollywood films such as ‘The Cider House Rules’ and ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’ show a strong case for legalized abortion.

A recent Gallup Poll has shown that Americans in general are almost exactly split on the issue of abortion, with 47 percent choosing pro-choice and 46 percent pro-life.

The United States has long been embroiled over the topic of abortion rights. Proponents of the pro-life movement argue that human life begins at conception.
